Description

Get ready to fall in love with these crispy, cheesy Jalapeño Popper Twists—a perfect mix of spicy, creamy, and flaky goodness. This easy recipe is ideal for a quick snack, party appetizer, or even fun dinner ideas when you want something bold and satisfying. Packed with melted cheese, fresh jalapeños, and golden puff pastry, these twists deliver big flavor with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale

1 sheet puff pastry

4 oz cream cheese softened

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

2 jalapeños thinly sliced

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 egg beaten

2 tbsp chopped chives

1/2 cup cooked bacon bits optional

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Slice jalapeños into thin rounds, removing seeds if you prefer less heat.

3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar, mozzarella, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.

4. Roll out puff pastry into an even rectangle.

5. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the pastry, leaving a small border.

6. Sprinkle jalapeños and optional bacon evenly over the top.

7. Fold pastry over or place another sheet on top and press gently to seal.

8. Cut into 1-inch strips using a knife or pizza cutter.

9. Twist each strip and place on the prepared baking sheet.

10. Brush each twist with beaten egg.

11. Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

12. Remove from oven, garnish with chives, and serve warm.

Notes

Let puff pastry thaw just enough to handle—too soft makes it hard to work with.

Don’t overload the filling to prevent cheese from leaking out during baking.

For extra crispiness, chill the twists for 10 minutes before baking.
