Ingredients

Scale

1 pound fresh green beans

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 cups vegetable oil

1/2 cup ranch dressing

Instructions

1. Wash the green beans thoroughly, trim the ends, and pat them completely dry with paper towels.

2. Prepare three bowls for breading. Add flour to the first bowl, whisked eggs to the second bowl, and breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the third bowl.

3. Coat the green beans lightly in flour, then dip them into the egg mixture, and finally coat them evenly with the seasoned breadcrumb mixture.

4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or heavy-bottomed pot to 350°F.

5. Fry the green beans in small batches for 2 to 4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

6. Remove the fried green beans with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.

7. Sprinkle with additional salt if desired while still hot.

8. Serve immediately with ranch dressing or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra crispy fried green beans, use panko breadcrumbs instead of regular breadcrumbs.

Always dry the green beans completely before breading to help the coating stick properly.

Avoid overcrowding the frying pan so the green beans cook evenly and stay crispy.
