  • 9 oz (250g) cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Remove and let rest before slicing.
  3. Cook tortellini in salted boiling water according to package instructions (3–5 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  4. In the same pot, blanch broccoli florets for 2–3 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop cooking.
  5. In the same skillet, melt butter and add minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute.
  6. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens.
  7. Add sliced chicken, tortellini, and broccoli to the sauce. Toss to coat and simmer for 2–3 more minutes.
  8. Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan if desired.
