Description

A bold and refreshing Blackout Berry Dirty Soda that combines juicy blackberries and blueberries with fizzy soda and a smooth creamy swirl. This easy recipe is perfect as a quick drink, summer refreshment, or fun party beverage. With its eye-catching marbled look and balanced sweet-tart flavor, it’s one of those drink ideas that feels both indulgent and simple to make at home.

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 cup blackberries

1/2 cup blueberries

1 cup lemon-lime soda

23 tablespoons berry syrup

23 tablespoons heavy cream

1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk (optional)

1 cup ice cubes

1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

1. Rinse the blackberries and blueberries thoroughly and set aside a few for garnish.

2. Add the remaining berries to a glass and gently muddle to release their juices.

3. Pour in the berry syrup and lightly mix with the muddled berries.

4. Fill the glass with ice cubes until about three-quarters full.

5. Slowly pour the lemon-lime soda over the ice to maintain layering.

6. Drizzle the heavy cream gently over the top to create a swirling effect.

7. Add optional vanilla extract or sweetened condensed milk for extra richness.

8. Stir lightly if desired or leave layered for presentation.

9. Garnish with fresh berries and serve immediately.

Notes

Use chilled ingredients to maintain the refreshing taste and proper layering.

Pour cream slowly over ice to achieve the signature marbled swirl.

Adjust sweetness by controlling the amount of syrup and soda used.
