1/4 cup unsalted butter cold

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 pinch salt


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a donut pan

2. Mix crumb topping ingredients until coarse crumbs form and chill

3. Whisk together all dry ingredients in a large bowl

4. In another bowl, mix buttermilk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla

5. Combine wet and dry ingredients gently without overmixing

6. Pipe batter into donut pan filling each cavity 3/4 full

7. Sprinkle crumb topping evenly over batter

8. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and set

9. Cool donuts briefly in pan then transfer to rack

10. Whisk glaze ingredients until smooth

11. Dip or drizzle glaze over cooled donuts

12. Let glaze set and serve fresh
