- 1 lb baby carrots (or sliced whole carrots)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse and dry the carrots. If using whole carrots, peel and cut them into evenly sized sticks or slices.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the carrots and stir to coat them in the butter and garlic. Cook for 5–6 minutes.
- Drizzle in the honey, and add the salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Stir well to combine.
- Lower the heat, cover the pan, and simmer for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove the lid and let the glaze reduce for 2–3 minutes, stirring gently until the carrots are tender and coated in a shiny glaze.
- Serve warm.
