  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse and dry the carrots. If using whole carrots, peel and cut them into evenly sized sticks or slices.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the carrots and stir to coat them in the butter and garlic. Cook for 5–6 minutes.
  4. Drizzle in the honey, and add the salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Stir well to combine.
  5. Lower the heat, cover the pan, and simmer for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Remove the lid and let the glaze reduce for 2–3 minutes, stirring gently until the carrots are tender and coated in a shiny glaze.
