  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 2 tablespoons water (for cornstarch slurry)
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken thighs dry and season lightly with black pepper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together garlic, brown sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.
  3. Place chicken in the Crockpot and pour the sauce over the top.
  4. Cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until chicken is fully cooked and tender.
