Ingredients

  • 1 large round sourdough loaf
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the top off the sourdough loaf and hollow out the center, leaving a 1-inch border.
  3. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 2–3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, sprinkle flour and whisk for 1 minute.
  6. Slowly add heavy cream, whisking until thickened, about 3–5 minutes.
  7. Stir in mozzarella and parmesan cheese until melted.
  8. Season with salt, pepper, and parsley.
  9. Return shrimp to the skillet and combine.
  10. Spoon mixture into bread bowl, place on a baking sheet.
  11. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
  12. Garnish with extra parsley and serve hot.
