- 1 large round sourdough loaf
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the top off the sourdough loaf and hollow out the center, leaving a 1-inch border.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 2–3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sprinkle flour and whisk for 1 minute.
- Slowly add heavy cream, whisking until thickened, about 3–5 minutes.
- Stir in mozzarella and parmesan cheese until melted.
- Season with salt, pepper, and parsley.
- Return shrimp to the skillet and combine.
- Spoon mixture into bread bowl, place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with extra parsley and serve hot.
