Description

This Strawberry Banana Pudding is a creamy, fruity, and delicious twist on the classic banana pudding. Layers of smooth vanilla pudding, fresh strawberries, ripe bananas, and crunchy cookie crumbles come together to create a dessert that’s perfect for any occasion. Whether served at a potluck, family gathering, or just as a treat for yourself, this pudding is guaranteed to impress!

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (or 8 oz whipped topping)
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 3 ripe but firm bananas, sliced
  • 1 box vanilla wafers or graham crackers, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pudding – In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix, cold milk, and sweetened condensed milk until smooth. Let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
  2. Whip the cream – In a separate bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold it into the pudding mixture (or simply mix in whipped topping).
  3. Slice the fruits – Wash and slice the strawberries and bananas into even pieces.
  4. Assemble the layers – In a large serving dish or trifle bowl, start with a layer of vanilla wafers or graham crackers, followed by a layer of pudding, then a layer of strawberries and bananas. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with pudding on top.
  5. Garnish and chill – Sprinkle crushed cookies over the top and decorate with extra strawberries and banana slices. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2-4 hours or overnight for best results.
  6. Serve and enjoy! – Once chilled, scoop into bowls and enjoy this creamy, fruity delight!
