Description

This Sticky Honey Garlic Sausage Pasta Skillet is a one-pan wonder packed with sweet, garlicky glaze clinging to caramelized sausage and tender pasta. It’s bold, comforting, and done in under 30 minutes — perfect for busy weeknights or casual dinners that still wow.


Ingredients

8 ounces spaghetti

12 ounces smoked or Italian sausage, sliced

3 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Salt (for pasta water)

1/4 cup reserved pasta water (as needed)


Instructions

1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water, then drain.

2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced sausage and sear for 6–8 minutes until browned on both sides. Remove and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, add a bit more oil or butter. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for 30 seconds until fragrant.

4. Stir in honey and soy sauce. Let it bubble for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened. Add butter and stir until glossy.

5. Return sausage to the pan and toss to coat in the sticky sauce.

6. Add the cooked pasta and a splash of reserved pasta water. Toss everything together until the noodles are fully coated.

7. Sprinkle with grated parmesan and chopped parsley. Toss again and serve immediately.

Notes

Use a splash of pasta water to help the sauce cling perfectly to the noodles.

Fresh garlic is key to that deep flavor — don’t sub it unless absolutely necessary.

For a lighter version, swap smoked sausage with chicken or turkey sausage.
