Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz fettuccine (or pasta of choice)
  • Reserved pasta water (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente, then drain and reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water.
  2. Season diced chicken with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear chicken until golden and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Melt the butter, then add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Stir in honey and let simmer for 1 minute.
  6. Add heavy cream and stir until smooth. Let simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in sauce.
  8. Add drained pasta to the pan and toss gently to combine. Use reserved pasta water to loosen sauce if needed.
  9. Serve hot, optionally garnished with chopped parsley or green onions.
