For the Chicken Wings:
- 2 lbs chicken wings (drums and flats)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
For the Sauce:
- ½ cup buffalo sauce, BBQ sauce, or honey garlic sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
For Garnishing (Optional):
- Chopped fresh parsley
- Sesame seeds
- Ranch or blue cheese dressing
Instructions
- Prepare the Wings: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and toss them in a bowl with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper.
- Load the Slow Cooker: Arrange the wings in a single layer in the slow cooker. Set to low for 3-4 hours or high for 2 hours.
- Make the Sauce: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the buffalo sauce, soy sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and minced garlic.
- Add the Sauce: In the last hour of cooking, pour the sauce over the wings and gently stir to coat.
- Broil for Crispiness (Optional): Preheat the oven’s broiler to high. Transfer the wings to a baking sheet lined with a wire rack, brush extra sauce on top, and broil for 3-5 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley or sesame seeds and serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing. Enjoy!
