A truly easy recipe for anyone craving a classic taste with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 large eggs

3/4 cup light corn syrup

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

2. In a bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, salt, and cold butter. Mix until crumbly.

3. Press the crust mixture evenly into the pan and bake for 18–20 minutes until lightly golden.

4. While the crust bakes, whisk together eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, vanilla, and a pinch of salt.

5. Stir in chopped pecans until well mixed.

6. Pour the filling over the hot crust once it’s out of the oven.

7. Bake again for 30–35 minutes, until the filling is set and golden on top.

8. Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack for at least 2 hours.

9. Once cool, lift out using parchment and slice into bars.

Notes

Toast your pecans before mixing them into the filling to bring out more flavor.

Don’t skip lining the pan—it makes removal and cleanup so much easier.

Let bars cool completely before cutting to get clean slices and perfect texture.
