Description

A beautifully balanced dish that combines sweet roasted pears, creamy goat cheese, and a rich maple walnut drizzle. Perfect as a quick appetizer, elegant dinner idea, or even a healthy dessert option, this easy recipe delivers gourmet flavor with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale

4 pears

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

1 teaspoon fresh thyme

1 teaspoon fresh rosemary

1 pinch salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

5 oz goat cheese

1/2 cup walnuts

1/4 cup maple syrup

1 tablespoon butter

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Slice pears in half and remove cores carefully.

3. Brush pears with olive oil and melted butter, then season with thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.

4. Roast pears for 20–25 minutes until tender but still holding shape.

5. In a saucepan, warm maple syrup, butter, cinnamon, salt, and Dijon mustard until smooth.

6. Toast walnuts in a dry pan for 3–5 minutes until fragrant.

7. Remove pears from oven and let cool slightly.

8. Add crumbled goat cheese to each pear half.

9. Top with toasted walnuts.

10. Drizzle warm maple mixture over pears and serve immediately.

Notes

Use firm pears to prevent them from becoming too soft during roasting.

Add the goat cheese after roasting to maintain its creamy texture.

Toast the walnuts lightly to enhance their flavor and crunch.
