Ingredients
Scale
- 6 cups crispy cereal (such as Crispix or Chex)
- 2 cups pecan halves
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
- ½ cup light corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven – Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Mix Cereal and Pecans – In a large mixing bowl, combine the crispy cereal and pecans. Set aside.
- Make the Praline Coating – In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the brown sugar and corn syrup, whisking constantly until the mixture begins to bubble. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and baking soda.
- Coat the Cereal Mixture – Immediately pour the hot praline mixture over the cereal and pecans. Gently toss with a spatula to evenly coat all pieces.
- Bake for Crunchiness – Spread the coated mixture evenly onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even caramelization.
- Cool and Break Apart – Once baked, remove from the oven and let the Praline Crunch cool completely. As it cools, it will harden into crispy clusters. Break into pieces and enjoy!
