With just a few simple ingredients and an easy baking process, you’ll have a delicious homemade snack that everyone will love!

Ingredients

Scale

  • 6 cups crispy cereal (such as Crispix or Chex)
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven – Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Mix Cereal and Pecans – In a large mixing bowl, combine the crispy cereal and pecans. Set aside.
  3. Make the Praline Coating – In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the brown sugar and corn syrup, whisking constantly until the mixture begins to bubble. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and baking soda.
  4. Coat the Cereal Mixture – Immediately pour the hot praline mixture over the cereal and pecans. Gently toss with a spatula to evenly coat all pieces.
  5. Bake for Crunchiness – Spread the coated mixture evenly onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even caramelization.
  6. Cool and Break Apart – Once baked, remove from the oven and let the Praline Crunch cool completely. As it cools, it will harden into crispy clusters. Break into pieces and enjoy!
