Ingredients

Scale

2 cups mashed potatoes

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Salt to taste

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 eggs, beaten

1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

1. In a bowl, mix mashed potatoes, cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, salt, and parsley until smooth.

2. Roll mixture into 3-inch sticks and place on a tray lined with parchment. Freeze for 30–45 minutes.

3. Set up flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs with paprika in three separate shallow bowls.

4. Dip each stick in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs. Repeat egg and breadcrumb steps for a second coat.

5. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).

6. Fry 3–4 sticks at a time until golden and crispy, about 2–3 minutes.

7. Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with dipping sauce.

Notes

Freeze the shaped sticks before frying to prevent breaking or cheese leakage.

For more flavor, add Italian herbs or chili flakes to the breadcrumb coating.

Reheat leftovers in the oven or air fryer to keep them crispy.
