Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 cups rotini pasta (or your choice of pasta)
- 1–2 fresh jalapeños, thinly sliced
- 1½ cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Optional: ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese for topping
Instructions
- Prep the Ingredients: Slice the steak into small pieces. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Slice the jalapeños and shred the cheese.
- Sear the Steak: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil. Sear the steak pieces for about 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Cook the Pasta: In the same skillet, bring water to a boil. Add pasta and a pinch of salt. Cook until al dente according to package instructions. Drain most of the water, leaving a little for the sauce.
- Make the Sauce: Lower heat to medium-low. Pour in the heavy cream. Stir in the shredded cheddar a handful at a time, stirring constantly until smooth.
- Combine Everything: Return the steak to the skillet. Add the jalapeño slices. Toss everything together until evenly coated in the sauce.
- Finish and Serve: Sprinkle with Parmesan if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
