Ingredients
1 cup butter (softened)
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
2. In a large bowl, beat together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until fully combined.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
6. Fold in the oats and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
7. Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
