Description

These No Bake Salted Caramel Pretzel Bars are the ultimate sweet-and-salty treat made with crunchy pretzels, rich homemade caramel, and smooth melted chocolate topped with flaky sea salt. This easy recipe is perfect for a quick dessert, holiday platter, dinner ideas, food ideas, or whenever you need a no-bake dessert that impresses with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale

2 ½ cups salted pretzels, lightly crushed

1 cup unsalted butter

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

2 tablespoons heavy cream (optional)

1 teaspoon flaky sea salt

Instructions

1. Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper and lightly grease it.

2. Lightly crush the pretzels, keeping small chunks for texture.

3. Melt ½ cup butter and mix with ½ cup brown sugar until bubbling, then combine with pretzels and press firmly into the pan. Chill 20–30 minutes.

4. Cook remaining butter, brown sugar, and sweetened condensed milk over medium heat, stirring constantly for 5–8 minutes until thickened.

5. Stir in vanilla extract and pour caramel over chilled base. Refrigerate 30–45 minutes.

6. Melt chocolate chips, stir in heavy cream if using, then spread over caramel layer.

7. Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top.

8. Chill 1–2 hours until fully set before slicing.

Notes

Use fresh pretzels for best crunch.

Stir caramel constantly to avoid burning.

Warm the knife before slicing for clean edges.
