It’s easy to make, incredibly delicious, and sure to be a crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 (25 oz) bag frozen or fresh cheese ravioli
  • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the meat: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or Italian sausage until browned. Drain excess grease, then stir in the marinara sauce and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Prepare the cheese mixture: In a bowl, mix together ricotta cheese, cream cheese, egg, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
  4. Assemble the casserole:
    • Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of the dish.
    • Add a layer of ravioli (no need to cook it first).
    • Spread half of the cheese mixture over the ravioli.
    • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
    • Repeat the layers, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
  5. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Rest & Serve: Let the casserole sit for 5-10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Enjoy!
