Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lemon (juice and zest)
- 1 tsp honey (optional)
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Prepare the salmon – Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- Heat the pan – In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Once hot, place the salmon fillets skin-side down (if using skin-on). Sear for 3-4 minutes until golden.
- Flip and add garlic butter – Turn the salmon and lower the heat to medium. Add butter, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Let the garlic cook for about 30 seconds.
- Add lemon juice – Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the salmon and spoon the garlic butter over the fillets. Drizzle with honey if using.
- Cook until flaky – Continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes, or until salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- Garnish and serve – Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve immediately with your favorite sides.
