Ingredients

Scale

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lemon (juice and zest)
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Prepare the salmon – Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat the pan – In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Once hot, place the salmon fillets skin-side down (if using skin-on). Sear for 3-4 minutes until golden.
  3. Flip and add garlic butter – Turn the salmon and lower the heat to medium. Add butter, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Let the garlic cook for about 30 seconds.
  4. Add lemon juice – Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the salmon and spoon the garlic butter over the fillets. Drizzle with honey if using.
  5. Cook until flaky – Continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes, or until salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Garnish and serve – Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve immediately with your favorite sides.
