Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup butter
- 2/3 cup evaporated milk
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 jar marshmallow creme
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prepare the Pan: Coat a 9×9 inch baking pan with cooking spray, and line it with parchment paper, leaving a 2-inch overhang on two sides.
- Cook the Sugar Mixture: In a large pot over medium heat, combine the sugar, butter, and evaporated milk. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture begins to boil. Continue boiling for 5 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
- Melt the Chocolate: Remove the pot from heat and add the chocolate chips. Stir until completely melted and smooth.
- Add Remaining Ingredients: Stir in the marshmallow creme, chopped nuts (if using), and vanilla extract until the mixture is well combined and smooth.
- Pour and Set: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Allow the fudge to cool at room temperature for about 2 hours or until fully set.
- Slice and Serve: Using the parchment paper overhang, lift the fudge out of the pan. Transfer to a cutting board and slice into squares. Enjoy!
