  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

For the Hot Honey Chicken:

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (sliced into cutlets or tenderloins)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

For the Hot Honey Glaze:

  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tsp hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Garnish:

  • Fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Hot Honey Glaze:
    In a small saucepan, gently heat honey, hot sauce, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine and set aside.

  2. Marinate the Chicken:
    Soak chicken in buttermilk seasoned with salt and pepper for at least 30 minutes.

  3. Cook the Pasta:
    Boil macaroni in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  4. Dredge and Fry Chicken:
    Mix flour with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Dredge chicken and fry in hot oil until golden and cooked through. Place on a wire rack.

  5. Make the Cheese Sauce:
    In a saucepan, melt butter. Whisk in flour to create a roux. Gradually add warm milk and cream, whisking until thickened. Stir in Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add cheeses and stir until smooth.

  6. Assemble the Mac N Cheese:
    Mix pasta with cheese sauce. Transfer to a baking dish, top with extra cheese, and bake at 375°F for about 10 minutes until bubbly.

  7. Glaze the Chicken:
    Brush fried chicken with hot honey glaze.

  8. Serve:
    Arrange glazed chicken on top of mac n cheese. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
