Description

This decadent hot fudge pie is an absolute chocolate lover’s dream! With a flaky crust and a rich, gooey center, it’s the perfect dessert for any special occasion or simply treating yourself.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-baked pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt the butter and bittersweet chocolate together in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, cocoa powder, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt.
  4. Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the bowl and stir until well combined.
  5. Pour the filling into the pre-baked pie crust and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the edges are set but the center still jiggles slightly.
  7. Let the pie cool for at least 10-15 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

  • For extra gooey texture, slightly underbake and let it set as it cools.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days or frozen for 3 months.
