Ingredients

Scale

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions (for garnish)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glaze – In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and rice vinegar until combined.
  2. Marinate the Salmon – Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or resealable bag. Pour half of the glaze over the fillets and let them marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Sear the Salmon – Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tbsp oil. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 3-4 minutes, until the skin is crispy.
  4. Glaze and Cook Through – Flip the salmon and pour the remaining glaze over the fillets. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, basting the salmon with the sauce as it thickens.
  5. Garnish and Serve – Remove the salmon from heat, sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, and serve immediately with rice, vegetables, or salad.
