Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp chopped green onions (for garnish)
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 1 tbsp oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- Prepare the Glaze – In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and rice vinegar until combined.
- Marinate the Salmon – Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or resealable bag. Pour half of the glaze over the fillets and let them marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- Sear the Salmon – Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tbsp oil. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 3-4 minutes, until the skin is crispy.
- Glaze and Cook Through – Flip the salmon and pour the remaining glaze over the fillets. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, basting the salmon with the sauce as it thickens.
- Garnish and Serve – Remove the salmon from heat, sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, and serve immediately with rice, vegetables, or salad.
