Ingredients

Scale

For the Wings:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings (drumettes and flats)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp baking powder (optional, for extra crispiness)

For the Honey Lemon Pepper Glaze:

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • Chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. Lightly oil the rack.
  2. Pat chicken wings dry thoroughly with paper towels. Place in a large bowl.
  3. Add olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and baking powder. Toss until wings are evenly coated.
  4. Arrange wings on the rack in a single layer without overlapping.
  5. Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway. For extra crisp, broil for 2–3 minutes at the end.
  6. While wings bake, make the glaze: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in honey, lemon juice, zest, and black pepper. Heat until slightly thickened (2–3 minutes). Remove from heat.
  7. Transfer baked wings to a clean bowl. Pour glaze over and toss to coat.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped parsley. Serve hot with lemon wedges.
