Ingredients
For the Beef and Marinade:
- 1 lb flank or sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
For the Noodles:
- 8 oz ramen or lo mein noodles
For the Sauce:
- 3 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 tbsp brown sugar or honey
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp water
Optional Veggies:
- 1/2 cup julienned carrots
- 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
- 1/4 cup green onions (plus more for garnish)
Garnishes:
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- Chili oil or extra hoisin (optional)
Instructions
- Combine sliced beef with hoisin, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch. Let marinate for 15–20 minutes.
- Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain, rinse with cold water, and set aside.
- In a small bowl, mix all sauce ingredients and set aside.
- Heat a wok or skillet over high heat. Sear beef in batches until browned (1–2 min per side). Set aside.
- Stir-fry vegetables in the same pan until tender-crisp (about 2–3 minutes).
- Return beef to pan, add noodles, pour in sauce, and toss everything over medium-high heat until combined and hot.
- Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, and optional chili oil. Serve immediately.
