For the Brownie Base:
- 1 box brownie mix (plus eggs, oil, and water as per instructions)
For the Peanut Butter Cheesecake Layer:
- 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
For the Chocolate Ganache (optional):
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
For the Topping:
- 1 cup whipped topping or sweetened whipped cream
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 10–12 mini peanut butter cups
Instructions
- Prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions. Bake and let cool completely. Cut into bite-sized cubes.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar and mix well. Fold in whipped topping gently until fluffy.
- To make the ganache, heat heavy cream and pour over chocolate chips. Let sit for 1 minute, then stir until smooth. Let cool slightly.
- In a large trifle or glass bowl, layer half the brownie cubes. Top with half the peanut butter mixture, drizzle with half of the ganache and caramel.
- Repeat the layers with remaining brownies, peanut butter mixture, ganache, and caramel.
