  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon slices, for garnish

Optional Add-ins:

  • Crushed red pepper flakes
  • 12 tablespoons white wine
  • 1 teaspoon capers

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Pat cod fillets dry and arrange in the dish.
  3. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, and garlic.
  4. Pour mixture evenly over the fillets. Use a brush if needed.
  5. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and paprika. Garnish with lemon slices.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until cod flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Optional: Broil for 1–2 minutes for a golden finish.
  8. Remove, garnish with parsley, and serve immediately.
