2 slices sourdough bread

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

1 clove garlic, finely minced

1 teaspoon chopped parsley

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Pinch salt (optional)


Instructions

1. In a small bowl, mix softened butter with garlic and parsley until well combined.

2. Spread the garlic butter mixture generously on one side of each bread slice.

3. Flip the slices over and layer the mozzarella (and cheddar, if using) on one slice.

4. Close the sandwich with the buttered sides facing out.

5. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in.

7. Remove from pan, let rest 1 minute, slice, and serve immediately.

Notes
