Description

Fried Cheese Stuffed Doritos are crispy, cheesy bites of goodness wrapped in a crunchy Doritos coating. Perfect as a party appetizer, game-day snack, or indulgent treat, they combine gooey melted cheese with bold, flavorful crunch. Easy to customize and even easier to devour!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup crushed Doritos (flavor of your choice)
  • 6 oz cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend), cut into small pieces or shredded
  • 12 wonton wrappers
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Oil for frying (canola or vegetable)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Cheese: Cut cheese into small squares or use shredded cheese.

  2. Crush Doritos: Place Doritos in a zip-top bag and crush into fine crumbs. Pour onto a plate.

  3. Set Up Dredging Station: Place flour in one shallow dish, beaten egg in another, and crushed Doritos in a third.

  4. Fill Wontons: Place cheese in the center of each wonton wrapper. Lightly brush edges with water and fold to seal.

  5. Coat Wontons: Dredge each stuffed wonton in flour, then egg, then crushed Doritos. Press crumbs to adhere well.

  6. Heat Oil: Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep skillet or pot.

  7. Fry Wontons: Fry stuffed wontons in batches for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.

  8. Drain: Transfer to paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  9. Serve: Enjoy hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
