Ingredients

Scale

  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 12 oz (2 cups) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 7 oz marshmallow creme (or marshmallow fluff)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line a 9×13-inch or 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper or foil and lightly grease it.
  2. Heat the Sugar Mixture: In a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, butter, and evaporated milk. Stir constantly until the butter melts.
  3. Boil the Mixture: Bring to a rolling boil, stirring continuously. Let it boil for 4–5 minutes or until it reaches 234°F (soft-ball stage).
  4. Remove from Heat & Add Chocolate: Turn off the heat and immediately stir in the chocolate chips until fully melted and smooth.
  5. Mix in Marshmallow Creme & Vanilla: Add marshmallow creme and vanilla extract, stirring until well combined.
  6. Fold in Walnuts (Optional): Stir in chopped walnuts for added crunch.
  7. Transfer & Set: Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Let it cool at room temperature for at least 3 hours.
  8. Cut & Serve: Once set, lift the fudge out using the parchment paper, cut into squares, and enjoy!
