  • 2 lbs ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce or crushed tomatoes (for topping)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line a loaf pan.

  2. In a large bowl, soak the breadcrumbs in milk for 2–3 minutes.

  3. Add ground beef, eggs, Parmesan, onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  4. Gently mix until just combined.

  5. Press mixture into the prepared pan and top with marinara or crushed tomatoes.

  6. Bake for 45–50 minutes, until internal temp reaches 160°F (71°C).

  7. Sprinkle mozzarella over the top and bake another 10–15 minutes.

  8. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley if using.
