Made with soft pizza dough and finished with a sprinkle of fresh parsley and parmesan, they’re perfect for quick dinners, family gatherings, or just as a delicious snack. This easy recipe fits perfectly into your go-to food ideas for weeknights, whether you’re seeking quick breakfast additions, healthy snack options, or irresistible dinner ideas.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound pizza dough

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)

Instructions

1. Let the pizza dough come to room temperature for 30 minutes if refrigerated.

2. Lightly flour your surface and divide the dough into golf ball-sized portions.

3. Roll each piece into a 6–8 inch rope and tie into a knot. Tuck the ends underneath.

4. Place knots on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spaced slightly apart.

5. Cover with a towel and let rise again for 20–30 minutes.

6. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

7. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.

8. Meanwhile, melt butter in a pan. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.

9. Remove butter from heat. Stir in chopped parsley and salt.

10. Brush the hot garlic butter generously over baked knots.

11. Sprinkle grated parmesan over the warm knots before serving.

12. Serve warm with marinara or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Let the knots rest after shaping to ensure they bake up soft and fluffy.

Always brush the garlic butter on while the knots are hot so the flavors soak in.

For an extra cheesy twist, stuff a small cube of mozzarella inside each dough ball before tying.
