Ingredients

Scale

2 pounds chicken wings

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

0.5 teaspoon salt

0.5 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup barbecue sauce

0.5 cup pineapple juice

0.5 cup pineapple chunks

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

0.5 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

1 teaspoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon water

1 tablespoon chopped parsley or green onions

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.

2. Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels. Toss in a bowl with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.

3. Arrange wings on the wire rack in a single layer. Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through.

4. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine BBQ sauce, pineapple juice, honey, soy sauce, vinegar, red pepper flakes, and pineapple chunks. Simmer over medium heat for 8–10 minutes.

5. Mix cornstarch with water, add to sauce if needed, and simmer until thickened.

6. Transfer cooked wings to a large bowl. Pour sauce over wings and toss until fully coated.

7. Garnish with parsley or green onions if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

Let wings reach room temperature before baking to ensure even cooking.

Sauce can be made 2–3 days ahead and stored in the fridge.

For crispier reheated wings, use an oven or air fryer.
