  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs (optional for extra crunch)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)
  • 1/2 cup creamy dip (ranch, garlic aioli, or dip of choice)

Instructions

  1. Unwrap string cheese and pat dry. Cut in half if desired.
  2. Freeze the cheese sticks for 30 minutes.
  3. Set up three bowls: one with flour (seasoned with salt and pepper), one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs (mix panko and Italian).
  4. Coat each stick in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs. For extra crunch, repeat egg and breadcrumb step.
  5. Freeze the breaded sticks for another 30–60 minutes.
  6. Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
