  • 8 slices of soft white sandwich bread (crusts removed, flattened)
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Optional fillings: cream cheese, Nutella, fruit preserves

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Bread
    Trim crusts from bread slices and flatten each slice with a rolling pin.

  2. Mix Cinnamon Sugar
    Combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl; set aside.

  3. Prepare the Egg Mixture
    Whisk eggs and milk in a mixing bowl.
