Perfect for easy dessert ideas, snack recipes, or make-ahead food ideas for entertaining — this sweet, salty, chewy, and crunchy snack delivers.

Ingredients

Scale

9 cups rice or corn Chex cereal

1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

3/4 cup creamy peanut butter

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups powdered sugar

1/2 cup mini marshmallows

1/2 cup chocolate chunks or mini peanut butter cups

1/2 cup dried cherries or cranberries

1/2 cup chopped pretzels (optional)

1 pinch salt

Instructions

1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment or wax paper and set aside.

2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.

3. Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.

4. Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal in a large bowl. Gently stir to coat evenly.

5. Add in marshmallows, chocolate chunks or mini peanut butter cups, dried fruit, and pretzels. Fold gently.

6. Transfer the coated cereal into large zip-top bags. Add powdered sugar, seal, and shake until fully coated.

7. Spread the mixture onto the lined baking sheet and let it cool for 15–30 minutes.

8. Store in an airtight container or bag once fully cooled. Enjoy!

Notes

Let the mixture cool fully before storing to preserve clusters and avoid stickiness.

Be gentle when folding the cereal to prevent breaking pieces and losing crunch.

Adjust powdered sugar to your preference — more for a drier finish, less for extra gooey clusters.
