- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (plus extra for rolling)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 24 Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, and milk, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until a thick dough forms.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls, then roll each ball in granulated sugar.
- Place cookies on the baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, until edges are set.
- Remove from the oven and immediately press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
