Ingredients
Scale
For the Taco Pinwheels:
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 2 1/2 tbsp taco seasoning
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 pizza dough
- 1 cup shredded Mexican cheese
For the Sauce:
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1 tsp lime juice
- 1 tsp chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain any excess fat, then stir in the taco seasoning and water. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes until the mixture is well-coated and fragrant.
- Roll and Assemble: Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface. Spread the seasoned beef evenly across the dough, then sprinkle with shredded cheese. Roll the dough up jelly-roll style and cut into 1/2-inch rounds.
- Bake: Arrange the pinwheels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving a bit of space between each. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, or until golden and puffy.
- Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, ranch dressing, lime juice, and chopped cilantro. Stir until smooth.
- Serve: Serve the warm pinwheels with the sauce on the side for dipping. Garnish with extra cilantro or salsa, if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of hot sauce or extra cheese to the filling before rolling.
- These pinwheels freeze well! To reheat, bake from frozen in a 350°F oven for about 10 minutes until warm and crispy.
