Description

Cheesy Penne with Garlic Butter Ground Beef is a creamy, comforting pasta dish made with tender penne, savory garlic butter, and seasoned ground beef, all smothered in melted mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. It’s the perfect cozy meal for weeknights or casual entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz (340 g) penne pasta
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup heavy cream or milk
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot and cook penne until just shy of al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef. Season with salt and pepper, drain excess grease, and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Melt butter in the same skillet, then add garlic, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Add the cooked penne, ground beef, heavy cream, Parmesan, and half the mozzarella. Stir until well combined.
  5. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top. Cover and let sit on low heat for 3–5 minutes or broil in the oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
