1 medium onion, finely chopped

500g ground beef

2 garlic cloves, minced

2 tablespoons tomato paste

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

2 sheets puff pastry, thawed

1 egg, beaten

Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until soft.

2. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.

3. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat.

4. Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes more.

5. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool for 5–10 minutes.

6. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until well combined.

7. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

8. Roll out puff pastry and cut each sheet into 3 rectangles.

9. Spoon beef-cheese mixture onto each rectangle, then fold and seal the edges.

10. Place seam-side down on the tray and brush with egg wash.

11. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.

12. Cool slightly and garnish with parsley if desired. Serve warm.
