Ingredients
12 oz spaghetti
1 lb ground beef
1 medium yellow onion, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 cup crushed tomatoes
4 oz cream cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
3. Add diced onion to the skillet and sauté until soft. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
4. Sprinkle in Cajun seasoning and stir to coat the beef and onions evenly.
5. Pour in crushed tomatoes and simmer for 10 minutes to develop flavor.
6. Reduce heat to low and stir in cream cheese until melted and smooth.
7. Add heavy cream, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the sauce is creamy and fully combined.
8. Add cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Add reserved pasta water if needed.
9. Optional: Top with extra cheese and broil for 2-3 minutes until bubbly and golden.
10. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Use freshly grated cheese to ensure your sauce melts smoothly and doesn’t turn gritty.
Don’t skip the simmering step—this helps the flavors deepen and makes the sauce richer.
If you’re sensitive to spice, start with 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning and build up to your desired heat level.
