Description

These Brown Sugar Beef Chops are a delicious combination of savory and sweet, with a rich caramelized glaze that enhances the natural flavors of the beef. Perfect for a quick weeknight meal or an elegant dinner, this dish delivers a restaurant-quality taste in just a few simple steps.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 2 thick-cut beef chops (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Beef Chops – Pat the beef chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

  2. Heat the Skillet – In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until hot.

  3. Sear the Chops – Place the beef chops in the pan and sear for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown.

  4. Make the Brown Sugar Glaze – Reduce heat to medium, then add butter and let it melt. Sprinkle brown sugar over the chops and drizzle with soy sauce.

  5. Baste the Chops – Continuously spoon the bubbling glaze over the chops for 1-2 minutes, allowing it to coat and caramelize the beef.

  6. Rest and Serve – Remove from heat and let the beef chops rest for 5 minutes before serving. Drizzle extra glaze over the top and enjoy!
