Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter
3 cups white chocolate chips
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1. Place the unsalted butter in a light-colored saucepan over medium heat. Let it melt and begin to foam, stirring constantly. Watch for golden brown flecks and a nutty aroma. Remove from heat once browned.
2. Carefully pour in the sweetened condensed milk into the hot brown butter. Stir to combine and return to low heat, stirring until smooth.
3. Add the white chocolate chips to the warm mixture and stir until fully melted and creamy.
4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt until well mixed.
5. Line an 8×8-inch dish with parchment paper and pour the fudge mixture into it. Spread evenly and tap the pan to remove air bubbles.
6. Refrigerate for 2–3 hours or until fully set. Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
Use a light-colored pan for browning butter so you can see the color change easily.
Always stir continuously while melting chocolate to avoid burning or seizing.
For clean cuts, use a hot sharp knife and wipe it between slices.
