- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 medium apple, peeled and finely diced
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg (optional)
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Granulated sugar, for sprinkling
- (Optional) Powdered sugar, nuts, or maple syrup for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix diced apple, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and melted butter.
- Lightly flour a surface and unroll puff pastry. Cut into 4–6 rectangles.
- Place a spoonful of apple filling on one edge of each pastry piece.
- Roll tightly and seal edges with a dab of water. Place seam-side down on baking sheet.
- Brush each roll-up with egg wash. Sprinkle with granulated sugar.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly on a rack. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with syrup if desired.
