Description

Golden, flaky puff pastry wraps around a warm, spiced apple filling to create these irresistibly easy Breakfast Roll-Ups. Perfect for busy mornings, brunch spreads, or sweet treats any time of day.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 medium apple, peeled and finely diced
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Granulated sugar, for sprinkling
  • (Optional) Powdered sugar, nuts, or maple syrup for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix diced apple, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and melted butter.
  3. Lightly flour a surface and unroll puff pastry. Cut into 4–6 rectangles.
  4. Place a spoonful of apple filling on one edge of each pastry piece.
  5. Roll tightly and seal edges with a dab of water. Place seam-side down on baking sheet.
  6. Brush each roll-up with egg wash. Sprinkle with granulated sugar.
  7. Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool slightly on a rack. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with syrup if desired.
