Turn your weeknight dinner into a creamy, spicy delight with this Bowtie Pasta with Creamy Cajun Chicken and Mozzarella Cheese Sauce. Juicy Cajun-spiced chicken meets rich, velvety cheese sauce that clings to every curve of the bowtie pasta. This is a quick dinner, perfect for those looking for easy recipes, comfort food ideas, or dinner ideas that feel restaurant-worthy—all made in under 40 minutes. A cozy, bold, and satisfying meal that hits all the right notes.

Ingredients

Scale

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts

2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

8 ounces bowtie pasta

2 cloves garlic minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt to taste

Black pepper to taste

1 tablespoon chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides generously with Cajun seasoning. Let rest for 10 minutes.

2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until cooked through and golden. Remove and rest.

3. Meanwhile, boil bowtie pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.

4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.

5. Stir in the heavy cream and let simmer for 2–3 minutes.

6. Gradually add shredded mozzarella and Parmesan, stirring until smooth.

7. Add pasta to the sauce and toss to coat. Use reserved pasta water to loosen if needed.

8. Slice the rested chicken and serve over the creamy pasta.

9. Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

Use freshly shredded cheese for a smoother sauce.

Don’t skip resting the chicken—it keeps it juicy.

A splash of reserved pasta water works wonders if the sauce gets too thick.
