Ingredients
- 1 lb breakfast sausage
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 cups whole milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (about 8 biscuits), quartered
- Optional: fresh parsley or chives for garnish

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain excess grease if needed.

Sprinkle flour over sausage and cook for 1–2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Gradually whisk in milk. Simmer, whisking frequently, until gravy thickens (about 5–7 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.

Cut biscuit dough into quarters. Layer half the biscuit pieces in the baking dish.
