Ingredients

Scale

1 1/2 pounds ground beef

1 small yellow onion, finely chopped

1 cup dill pickles, chopped

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and black pepper to taste

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing

1 (32-ounce) bag frozen tater tots

1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce (optional, for topping)

2 tablespoons sesame seeds (optional, for topping)

Additional Thousand Island dressing for drizzling

Instructions

1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Add chopped onions and sauté until soft. Drain excess grease.

2. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, chopped pickles, salt, and pepper. Mix well and remove from heat.

3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

4. Spread beef mixture evenly in the bottom of the dish. Drizzle with 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing and top with 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar.

5. Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer over the cheese.

6. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes until tater tots are golden and the casserole is bubbly.

7. Let rest 5 minutes. Top with shredded lettuce, sesame seeds, and a drizzle of Thousand Island.

8. Serve warm and enjoy the Big Mac flavor in casserole form!

Notes

Always drain the cooked beef to prevent a greasy base.

Add lettuce and sauce only after baking to preserve texture.

Broil the last 2–3 minutes for extra crispy tater tots.
