Description

If you’re craving cozy dessert vibes without the fuss of baking a full pie, these Apple Pie Tortilla Wraps with Brown Sugar Butter are a dream come true. This easy recipe wraps tender cinnamon apples in a warm flour tortilla, then browns them to golden perfection before being topped with a rich, buttery brown sugar drizzle. It’s the ultimate blend of sweet and spiced, ideal for a quick breakfast, easy dessert, or even a comforting snack. Perfect for fall, but honestly irresistible year-round, this is one of those breakfast ideas you’ll turn to again and again.

Ingredients

Scale

2 medium flour tortillas

2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced thin

2 tablespoons butter (for filling)

2 tablespoons brown sugar (for filling)

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon cornstarch

Pinch of salt

3 tablespoons butter (for drizzle)

2 tablespoons brown sugar (for drizzle)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for drizzle)

Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Optional: 2 tablespoons chopped pecans or raisins

Instructions

1. Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples.

2. In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat.

3. Add apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.

4. Cook for 6–8 minutes until apples are soft but still hold shape.

5. Stir in vanilla extract and cornstarch. Cook 2 more minutes until thickened.

6. Lay out tortillas and add apple filling down the center.

7. Fold bottom edge up, tuck in the sides, and roll tightly.

8. In a clean skillet, melt some butter and place wraps seam-side down.

9. Cook each wrap for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crisp.

10. In a small saucepan, melt 3 tablespoons butter with 2 tablespoons brown sugar.

11. Cook over low heat until melted and bubbling, then stir in vanilla.

12. Drizzle wraps with brown sugar butter and dust with powdered sugar.

13. Serve warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

Use room temperature tortillas to make folding easier and prevent cracks.

Don’t skip the cornstarch—it thickens the filling and prevents leaks.

For a shortcut, you can use canned apple pie filling instead of fresh apples.
